It’s time for Mix it Up Monday!! Put your flats on and get to work! After a fun or relaxing weekend it’s always hard to start in on a productive Monday. Make a list Sunday evening, or first thing Monday morning. Approach things on the list by what you feel like doing. As long as the list is all checked off by the end of the day (or say Tuesday), you’ll be in a great spot to accomplish goals set for the week! Happy Monday!

As business owners we have to listen closely to the canidates and what they promise for small business owners. Healthcare, tax breaks, and benefits. Are you listening?

Everyday is an experience that changes the way we look at life, our business, ourselves. As a result, we learn from it and grow.

“Like, that’s so corporate….” unfortunately, at times it seems we have more red tape as entrepreneurs, but with creativity and smarts it can be in our favor.

You’ve run the numbers over and over again, put the plan together and know the strategy like the back of your hand. But it’s the gut instinct, the decision made on impulse, that sometimes proves the best result. As entrepreneurs we strategize, structure and re-evaluate the plan. This is essentially what makes the idea tick. But what keeps it alive? I’ve found that trying something different–going with the “unplanned”–sometimes proves the most beneficial. The stale idea has a fresh new start.

Out with the old, in with the new. It’s 2008!  New Year, fresh start. But be sure you don’t accidently throw away receipts and invoices for the much anticipated, never exciting - tax season!  Happy New Year!

JUST KIDDING!  philoSophie’s just experienced our busiest quarter with custom holiday greetings and gifts.  But, a girl can dream right?!

Give yourself a sweet break!  Time away from the office at a good bakery or coffee shop can be your most productive hour of the day.  I often bring my journal and make note of new ideas…
